The path starts right before crossing this bridge and goes up along the river, at first going away from its shore but then joining this West direction through beautiful tall deciduous beech’s forest. After two hours walking you will arrive at a private campsite in Piedra del Fraile, having the choice of staying overnight either placing your own tent or renting a bungalow. The trail carries on until the Lago Eléctrico and from there to your left the path to the Pollone river starts. After half an hour walk along this path take the deviation to your left going up the river to the higher glaciers( the one on your right is the Pollone Glacier and the one on your left is the Fitz Roy North Glacier). You arrive at the source of the Pollone river in a region of many unstable moraine blocks that do not allow you to continue safely.
