Camping sites in El Chaltén
Camping sites can be found: in the urban sector of El Chaltén, in private areas located north of town (towards Lago del Desierto) or in specific areas of Los Glaciares National Park. In the National Park, all the camping sites are free, with latrines but with no other services. We advice to read Recommendation during your stay.

Located on a large property to enjoy nature in the heart of El Chaltén. The camp site is located a few meters from Río De las Vueltas where you can see several native trees. We have plenty of space to install tents and you can also use individual repair areas with fences with a barbacue and/or chulengos.

Private camping sites outside El Chaltén
Outside the National Park, there are several private camping sites, all located in the direction to Lago Del Desierto. To access them, if you do not have your own vehicle you can hire a taxi or transfer service.

Free camping sites, inside the National Park
The three designated camping sites within the protected area (Los Glaciares National Park) are free, each one has a latrine but they do not include other services (such as groceries, electricity, etc.). You access them by hiking from El Chaltén. As in the rest of the National Park it is forbidden to make fire and all the waste generated must be returned to El Chaltén.
